Journey to under 210

Very keen to get there before going to San Fran at the end of this month for the Hult Challenge.

Good day yesterday but overate in the evening. Looking for a lean Tuesday and Thursday this week.

Will update weight at the weekend!

Friday

Navigated Valentine's Day without overdoing it, and currently standing at 210.8 lbs, so almost under the first magic target. 26 lbs lost so far, nearly at the 2 stone barrier - a successful week without being onerous, and soon to be below the weight I was on my wedding day, which is nice.

The hunger still has not picked up - there's still definitely cravings though. Also, I have not been well this week - almost a "double-dip" cold, (see UK economy), but with Son being ill and also lots of ill people around at business school, its to be expected - along with the dramatic temperature shifts, from 11 to -1 in a couple of days is bound to do things like that.

The one downside has been a lack of fruit (because of the sugars) meaning less Vit C to potentially fight off things like this - but I'm not normally a "sicky" person, I don't think it's a side effect of the diet but I will be keeping an eye on it. Also my ankle has been playing up, which has been a real pain, and despite plenty of rest on it (some days) it is still hurting after almost 2 weeks.

The trials and tribulations! Still, hopefully on for another 4lb loss next week which would take me ever nearer the 200lb mark, and would be fantastic, before going off to San Fran and probably not losing any that week....... :)

12 feb

Ploughing on - a good Saturday, then two average days, then back to the fast today.

Hunger levels are still low, and motivation still high. I am looking forward to getting nearer to goal and hope to rediscover really enjoying food again rather than just scoffing my face!

Big day at b-school tomorrow - Dragons' den pitches. Looking forward to it.

Rediscovered focus

So, I was teetering at last post - but identified the danger and addressed it. The blog definitely helps with accountability.

In short, not the healthiest eating week when I have eaten. Tuesday was a mess, a liquid lunch and then networking in the evening - the food was small, late and insubstantial, even when I had worked out where to stand......

I have done one day's proper fast, then two normal days and one light on calories. Wouldn't be surprised if I was over 2500 on one of the normal days, but I was below on the other.

Upshot is, 4.5 lbs off this week, which makes up for static last week. A fraction under 215 lbs and being under 210 or 14 stone xx is surely near. Then 200 lbs will be the next milestone, it's been a long time since I started with a '1'!

This diet really does work - it's willpower at a different level but by not restricting what you have when you can eat, you don't get that sense of being 'sick of salad' or 'sick of protein shakes' etc.

Thanks for reading.

Into feb

Motivation has waned this week, although I have largely cut out unnecessary meals, but crucially NOT treats. I'd guess I've had about my 2500 a day this week, and I have maintained, as you would expect!

Too many free lunches - never thought I would complain about that! Still haven't been genuinely hungry, but have just made the most of the 'opportunities' put in front of me.

Fresh motivation needed next week! Still, pleased not to gain, and got a feel of what maintenance might feel like. Need to put in a good number next week, and usually respond well to pressure, so here we go.

Wife's birthday today but going to keep it relatively conservative on the eating front. First time in years we haven't been out for a meal for her birthday - progress! She is doing well also, and also maintained this week, which was quite a harsh result. Still, she is doing better than I am it seems!
